Darkness Ring
The Darkness Ring is the fifth, and final, ring unlocked in the game and is unlocked upon reaching stage 1440.
The ring does damage and applies a 'Dread' charge to an enemy with each tap, up to 20 charges of 'Dread' (they can be all on one enemy or divided among them).
If no new stacks are applied in a short amount of time, all stacks on that enemy explode dealing a significant amount of damage based on number of stacks of 'Dread'.
Darkness Ring has 11 available runes; 4 of them are rewards for progressing in Adventure mode.

How to obtain runes
Runes can be obtained opening Rune Chest, occasional Flash Offers, or via the Rune Special Offers all found in the shop.
Only runes for already unlocked rings can be obtained from Flash Offers, but you can obtain runes early from the Rune Chest.
Note: Rune Chests contain duplicates and give a very small amount of spirits in return. They are not recommended to use outside of the very beginning of the game for this purpose.
