Seasons

Seasons are the fourth game mode unlocked in the game, after unlocking the first pet at stage 1. Each season lasts a few days (usually a week) and consists on 5 challenges with unique effects and infinite stages.

Challenges

Each challenge has up to 3 unique effects and infinite stages. Inside a challenge, enemies have rage: when the ‘enemy rage’ bar fills, all enemies receive a rage stack. The same enemy can have up to 9 rage stacks. Each rage stack increases the enemy attack speed and damage, but reduces their gold reward.

Each challenge has infinite stages, but the run starts with 10 ‘lives’. Every time a hero dies, a life is lost. When there are no more lives, the run ends and the max stage reached is recorded. Completing a challenge run can reward small amounts of scraps, tokens, pet keys or pet cards.

Season Energy

Playing a Season Challenge requires Season Energy. A new Season Energy charge refills every 3 hours, but it can also be immediately refilled with gems.

The cost of refilling energy starts at 30 gems, and increases by 5 gems every time (up to 150 gems). The cost resets back to 30 once a new season starts.

Total Max Stage and rewards

The sum of all the max stages reached in a season’s challenge is that season’s Total Max Stage.

Each Season has a list of rewards that can be unlocked by reaching higher Total Max Stage in that Season.

Season items

Defeating bosses in the Season Challenges will reward a Season Item at random among all items available for that Season. Bonuses from items start applying from the moment they are unlocked (no need to start a new run). Unlocking items also provides a permanent gold bonus that applies to all challenge runs of that season.

It is possible to have up to 5 of the same item.

Item Effect
Magic Mushroom +1 extra life when playing challenges
Power Legumes Enraged enemies receive 20% more damage
Dead Branch Heroes revive 20% faster
Fertilizer Receive 40% of a hero’s upgrade cost when they die
Walnut Milk Reduces hero and ring upgrade cost by 20%
More in the game to be added to the list

Pet Cards

Cards for four Featured Pets are available each Season, as well as for four extra pets. The number of pet cards that can be purchased in a Season is limited, but extra cards can be obtained by playing the Season’s challenges.

End of a Season

When a Season ends, all pets, pet cards and pet keys are kept for the next season. The Total Max Stage is reset, all energy refilled and the unlocked Season Items are turned into scraps.
